I started working yesterday, pulling nails and sawing boards. Described as wrestling badgers, pulling nails that are up to 9 inches long and 5/8 of an inch in diameter is not easy. We average about one board every 20 minutes, per person. With three people wrestling nails, it's slow going.

As with all freeways, B-1 is under construction. Rolf wanted to know exactly where the underground pipes, wires, and communication cables are. We found them, but only after 4 holes. Not bad! We used seven guys, one small digger, and a large barge to do this. While on the island, we also found that the drain field is right where we want to put the shop.

 

 

 

 

Just like government work. One works, six watch.

 The very nice, some would say cute, backhoe.

We found 6 pipes but Rolf remembers at least 10 more.
